View system logs

Describes how to view system logs in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to view system logs in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console. By default, logs are retained for 7 days.

Prerequisites

User admin can view all system logs in your cluster. Common users such as project administrators, operators, and viewers can view the system logs in the projects to which they belong.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click O&M Tools to go to the management page of O&M tools.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Logs.

  4. On the System Logs tab, view system logs.

    You can view all system logs in the system. The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Component
    The name of the component in KSV. This includes the project components in the KSV web console and back-end system components.
    Time
    The time when the log entry was generated.
    Message
    The log message returned by each component.
  5. (Optional) Click the search box above the system log list and specify a condition to search for system logs by keyword, component, or time range. For example, use Keyword:error to search for log entries that contain the string error.

  6. (Optional) In the upper-right corner of the page, click refresh to refresh data.
