Delete a disk snapshot

Describes how to delete a disk snapshot in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to delete a disk snapshot in the KSV web console.

When you delete a snapshot of a VM, KSV removes the snapshot from the snapshot list and retains the current state of the VM. This operation does not affect the VM or other VM snapshots.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to manage disks. Only user admin, project administrators, and operators can manage disks. Project viewers can view only disks in the projects to which they belong. For more information about permissions, see Disks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Disks.

  4. On the Disks page, click the name of the desired disk. The details page of the disk appears.

  5. On the Snapshots tab, find the snapshot that you want to delete, click operation-menu, and then select Delete from the drop-down list.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    common:WARNING

Snapshots cannot be restored after they are deleted. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.
