Apply for an EIP

Describes how to apply for an EIP in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to apply for an elastic IP address (EIP) in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Networks > EIPs to go to the EIP management page.

  4. On the EIPs page, click Apply in the upper-right corner.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, specify Name and Description for the EIP. The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Name
    The name of the EIP.
    The name can contain only letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and must start and end with a letter or a digit. The name can be up to 16 characters in length.
    Type
    The address type of the EIP. By default, KSV uses IPv4.
    Description
    The description of the EIP.
    The description can be up to 128 characters in length. The character types are unlimited.
  6. Click OK. The EIP appears in the EIP list after this operation is performed.
