View the details of a timer task

Describes how to view the details of a timer task in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to view the details of a timer task in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

User admin can view all timer tasks created in your cluster. Common users such as project administrators, operators, and viewers can view the timer tasks created in the projects to which they belong.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click O&M Tools to go to the management page of O&M tools.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Timer > Timer Tasks.

  4. On the Timer Tasks tab, click the name of the task that you want to view. The details page of the timer task appears.

  5. On the left side of the details page, view basic information about the timer task.

    ParameterDescription
    ID
    The universally unique identifier (UUID) of the timer task in the system.
    Status
    Specifies whether the timer task is enabled.
    Operation
    The operation to perform by the timer task. Valid values: Start VM, Stop VM, Restart VM, and Create Snapshot.
    Policy
    The policy that is used to run the timer task.
    Time
    The point in time at which the timer task runs.
    Executions
    The number of times that the timer task runs.
    Maximum Attempts
    The maximum number of times that the timer task is allowed to fail. If the specified value is exceeded, the system will stop or skip the task based on the settings. Valid values: 3 to 8.
    Whether to Skip Error
    The operation to perform if the number of the maximum attempts has been reached. You can skip errors or stop the timer task.
  6. On the History tab, view the execution records of the timer task. The following table describes the parameters.

    Time
    The point in time at which the timer task runs.
    Status
    The execution result of the timer task.
    Object
    The object on which the timer task runs. Each timer task can run on multiple objects.
    Operation
    The operation to perform by the timer task.
    Description
    The description of the timer task execution.
  7. On the Objects tab, view the status of the object on which the timer task runs. The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Name
    The custom name of the object.
    ID
    The UUID of the object in the system.
    Status
    The status of the object.
