Create a timer policy

Describes how to create a timer policy in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to create a timer policy in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to manage timer policies. Project administrators and operators can perform all operations on timer policies, and project viewers can view only timer policies. For more information about permissions, see Timer.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click O&M Tools to go to the management page of O&M tools.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Timer > Timer Policies.

  4. On the Timer Policies tab, click Create in the upper-right corner.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, configure the parameters for the timer policy. The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Name
The custom name of the timer policy.
The name can contain only letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and must start and end with a letter or a digit. The name can be up to 16 characters in length.
    Select Project
The project name in which the timer project is created.
    Interval
The interval at which the timer task runs. A timer task can run every day, every N days, every N hours, every week, or every month.
    Time
The point in time at which the timer task runs.
  6. Click OK. The timer policy appears in the timer policy list after it is created.
