Delete Disk

Describes how to delete disks in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to delete disks in the KSV web console.

KSV allows you to delete only data disks. Before you delete a disk, make sure the disk is umounted from VMs.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to manage disks. Only user admin, project administrators, and operators can manage disks. Project viewers can view only disks in the projects to which they belong. For more information about permissions, see Disks.

Delete a data disk

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Disks.

  4. On the Disks page, click the name of the data disk that you want to delete. The details page of the data disk appears.

  5. On the left side of the details page, click operation-menu and select Delete from the drop-down list.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    common:WARNING

    The data disk cannot be restored after it is deleted. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.

Delete multiple data disks at a time

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Disks.

  4. On the Disks page, select the check boxes next to the data disks that you want to delete, and click Delete.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    common:WARNING

    Data disks cannot be restored after they are deleted. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.
