Configure a network for EIPs

Describes how to configure a network for EIPs in the KSV web console.

If you have not configured a network for elastic IP addresses (EIPs) during installation, you can configure a network in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) console after installation. This topic describes how to configure a network for EIPs in the KSV web console.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to use the Physical Resources module. The Physical Resources module is available only to user admin.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Physical Resources to go to the management page of physical resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Networks > EIPs to go to the EIP network configuration page.

  4. On the EIP Networks page, click Create.

    common:NOTE

    Before you configure a network for EIPs, make sure a physical network is created. If a physical network is not created, click Click to create.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, configure parameters for the EIP network.

    ParameterDescription
    Physical Network
    The name of the physical network used for EIPs.
    IP Range
    The IP address range used for EIPs.
    VLAN
    The VLAN ID that corresponds to EIPs.
    Gateway Address
    The gateway address used for EIPs.
    Excluded IP Range
    Click Advanced to exclude a single IP address or a specific range of IP addresses from the specified IP address range.
  6. Click Create.
