View alert messages

Describes how to view alert messages in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to view alert messages in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

User admin can view all alert messages in your cluster. Common users such as project administrators, operators, and viewers can view the alert messages in the projects to which they belong.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click O&M Tools to go to the management page of O&M tools.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Alerts.

  4. On the Alert Messages tab, view alert messages.

    You can view all alert messages in the project. The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Alert Message
    The alert message that is automatically generated after the alert is fired.
    Status
    The status of the alert. Valid values:
    • Firing: The alert trigger condition has been met for a period of time specified in the alert rule.
    • Pending: The alert trigger condition has not been met for a period of time specified in the alert rule.
    • Normal: The alert trigger condition has not been met.
    Severity
    The severity of the alert. Valid values:
    • Critical: an alert condition that requires immediate response.
    • Major: an error without the need to take immediate action.
    • Minor: a non-critical condition that has not caused a degradation in performance.
    Alert Policy
    The name of the alert policy. You can click the name of the alert policy to view its details. For more information about parameters, see Create alert policy details.
    Monitoring Target
    The monitoring target of the alert. KSV can monitor nodes and VMs.
    Fired at
    The time when the alert was fired.
  5. (Optional) Click the search box above the alert message list and specify a condition to search for alert messages by status or severity. For example, use Status:Firing to search for alerts that are fired.

  6. (Optional) In the upper-right corner of the page, click refresh to refresh data.
