Create a project

This topic describes how to create a project in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to manage projects. Only user admin, project administrators, and operators can manage projects. Project viewers can view only projects to which they belong.

Procedure

1. Log in to the KSV web console as admin or a user that has permissions to manage projects.

2. In the top navigation bar, click Projects to open the Projects page.

3. On the Projects page, click Create in the upper-right corner.

4. In the dialog box that appears, specify Name, Alias, and Description for the project. The following table describes the parameters. Create a project

   Parameter	Description
   Name	The custom name of the project. The name can contain only lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and must start and end with a lowercase letter or a digit. The name can contain up to 16 characters in length.
   Alias	(Optional) The custom alias of the project. The alias can contain up to 63 characters. The character types of the alias are unlimited.
   Description	(Optional) The description of the project. The description can contain up to 128 characters in length. The character types of the description are unlimited.

5. Click Create. The project appears in the project list after it is created.
