Create a disk snapshot

Describes how to create a disk snapshot in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to create a disk snapshot in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to manage disks. Only user admin, project administrators, and operators can manage disks. Project viewers can view only disks in the projects to which they belong. For more information about permissions, see Disks.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Disks.

  4. On the Disks page, click the name of the desired disk. The details page of the disk appears.

  5. On the Snapshots tab, click Create in the upper-right corner.

  6. In the dialog box that appears, set Name and Description for the snapshot.

    Name
    The name of the snapshot.
    The name can be up to 30 characters in length. The types of characters are unlimited.
    Description
    The description of the snapshot.
    The description can be up to 128 characters in length. The character types are unlimited.
  7. Click OK. The snapshot appears in the snapshot list after it is created.
