View VMs

Describes how to view VMs in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to view VMs in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

User admin can view all VMs created in your cluster. Common users such as project administrators, operators, and viewers can view the VMs created in the projects to which they belong.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose VMs > VMs to go to the VM management page.

    The following table describes the parameters.

    ParameterDescription
    Name
    The custom name of the VM.
    The name can contain only lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and must start and end with a lowercase letter or a digit. The name can contain up to 16 characters in length.
    ID
    The universally unique identifier (UUID) of the VM in the system. The UUID is automatically assigned by the system.
    Status
    The status of the VM.
    OS
    The OS type and version of the VM. You can place the cursor on the OS to view the specific type and version of the OS.
    IP Address
    The IP address of the VM. If a VM contains multiple NICs, multiple IP addresses are assigned to the VM.
    CPU Usage
    The CPU usage of the VM. You can place the cursor on the ring to view the number of CPU cores used and the total CPU cores.
    The following content lists the colors of indicators:
    • Green: The resource usage is smaller than or equal to 60%.
    • Orange yellow: The resource usage is greater than 60% but less than 90%.
    • Red: The resource usage is greater than 90%.
    Memory Usage
    The memory usage of the VM. You can place the cursor on the ring to view the used memory size and the total memory.
    The following content lists the colors of indicators:
    • Green: The resource usage is smaller than or equal to 60%.
    • Orange yellow: The resource usage is greater than 60% but less than 90%.
    • Red: The resource usage is greater than 90%.
    System Disk
    The system disk size of the VM.
    Associated Resources
    The resources that are associated with the VM. You can place the cursor on a specific resource to view its details.
    Node
    The node that runs the VM. This parameter is available to user admin only.
    Project
    The project name in which the VM is created.
  4. (Optional) In the blank area of the VM list, right-click to open the VM operation menu.

  5. (Optional) On the right side of a VM, click terminal or vnc to use Terminal or VNC to remotely connect to the VM.

  6. (Optional) Click the search box above the VM list and set query conditions to search for VMs by name, ID, or status. For example, use Name:ab to search for VMs whose name contains the string ab.

  7. (Optional) In the upper-right corner of the page, click refresh to refresh data.
