Modify a project member role

Describes how to modify a project member role in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to modify a project member role in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

Prerequisites

Make sure you are logged in as user admin or a project administrator. Project operators and viewers have no permissions to manage project members or roles.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Projects.

  4. On the Projects page, click the name of the project that you want to manage. The details page of the project appears.

  5. On the right side of the project details page, click the Members tab.

  6. Find the member for whom you want to modify the role, click operation-menu on the right side, and then select Modify from the drop-down list.

  7. In the dialog box that appears, set the member role and click OK. KSV provides the following member roles:

    RoleDescription
    Viewer
View only all resources in the projects to which they belong.
    Operator
Manage resources other than users and roles in the projects to which they belong.
    Administrator
Manage all resources in the projects to which they belong. By default, user admin belongs to all projects in the system and has the administrator role in all projects.
