Disassociate EIPs from resources

Describes how to dissociate EIPs from resources in the KSV web console.

This topic describes how to dissociate elastic IP addresses (EIPs) from resources in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.

You can dissociate EIPs from virtual private clouds (VPCs) or VMs based on business requirements.

Prerequisites

The user that you use has been granted the permissions to use elastic IP addresses (EIPs). User admin can manage all EIPs in your cluster. Project administrators and operators can manage the EIPs created on their own and have read-only permissions on the EIPs created by other users. Project viewers can view only the EIPs created in the projects to which they belong.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the KSV web console.

  2. In the top navigation bar, click Virtual Resources to go to the management page of virtual resources.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Networks > EIPs to go to the EIP management page.

  4. Find the VPC that you want to dissociate, click operation-menu on the right side, and then select Unbind from the drop-down list.

  5. In the dialog box that appears, click OK.

    common:WARNING

After you dissociate EIPs from VPCs, the resources in VPCs cannot be accessed over the Internet. Exercise caution when you perform this operation.
