Create a physical subnet
Describes how to create a physical subnet in the KSV web console.
This topic describes how to create a physical subnet in the KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) web console.
Prerequisites
The user that you use has been granted the permissions to use the Physical Resources module. The Physical Resources module is available only to user admin.
A physical network is created in the system.
Procedure
Log in to the KSV web console.
In the top navigation bar, click Physical Resources to go to the management page of physical resources.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Networks > Subnets to go to the management page of physical subnets.
On the Subnets page, click Create in the upper-right corner.
In the dialog box that appears, configure basic information for the physical subnet, and then click Next.
Parameter Description NameThe name of the physical subnet.The name can contain only letters, digits, and hyphens (-), and must start and end with a letter or a digit. The name can be up to 16 characters in length.DescriptionThe description of the subnet.The description can be up to 128 characters in length. The character types are unlimited.In the Network Info step, configure network parameters for the subnet. The following table describes the parameters.
Parameter Description Select NetworkThe physical network in which the subnet is created.VLAN IDThe VLAN ID that corresponds to the physical subnet.IP RangeThe IP address range in which the physical subnet resides.Gateway AddressThe gateway address of the physical subnet.Logical GatewayClick Advanced Settings to specify whether to enable the logical gateway.DNS ServerClick Advanced Settings to specify the IP address of the DNS server.BandwidthClick Advanced Settings to set the bandwidth limit for the subnet.Excluded IP AddressesClick Advanced Options to exclude an IP address or a specific range of IP addresses.Click OK. The subnet appears in the physical subnet list after it is created.
