Activate KSV

KubeSphere Virtualization (KSV) provides the following license types:

• License for Basic Edition: After KSV is installed, the service is not activated and the license for Basic Edition is used by default. The license for Basic Edition allows you to deploy a maximum of three nodes and nine VMs. The license for Basic Edition never expires.

• License for Developer Edition: allows you to deploy a maximum of 10 nodes and 90 VMs.

• License for Enterprise Edition: allows you to deploy nodes and VMs without limits and provides all features and technical support.

This topic describes how to activate KSV.

Prerequisites

Only user admin can activate KSV. Make sure you have logged in to the KSV web console as user admin.

Obtain your cluster ID

1. Log in to the KSV web console.

2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click and select Activate.

3. In the Activate dialog box, click Replicate next to Cluster ID.

   common:NOTE

   If you place an online order to subscribe to KSV, replicate the cluster ID you obtain to the Cluster ID field on the buy page.

Use your license to activate KSV

After the subscription of KSV is complete, you can obtain an activation code. To activate KSV using your license, perform the following steps:

1. In the Activation Code section of the Activate dialog box, enter the activation code and click Submit.

   After KSV is activated, the information about the license appears in the dialog box.

2. Click Close to complete the activation.
